Context

Company Background

This is a framework I developed and continue to refine for building automated prospecting systems. It combines signal detection, data enrichment, and CRM automation to create a self-populating pipeline.

My Role & Scope

Designing and implementing automated workflows that detect buying signals, enrich prospect data, and route opportunities to sales in real-time. The goal: eliminate static list building in favor of dynamic, intent-based prospecting.

The Challenge

Traditional list building is too slow for intent signals. By the time you build a list, enrich it, and reach out, the buying window has closed. The solution is building systems that auto-populate the CRM and alert reps in real-time when opportunities emerge.

Approach

1Signal Detection Layer

  • -Monitor multiple signal sources: website visits, social engagement, job changes, new hires, event participation
  • -Score signals at the contact level first, then roll up to account level
  • -Distinguish isolated contact interest from broader organizational intent
  • -Filter signals against ICP criteria before anything reaches the CRM

2Data Enrichment Pipeline

  • -Waterfall enrichment: primary provider, then fallbacks for missing data
  • -Company firmographics: size, industry, tech stack, funding, growth signals
  • -Contact enrichment: job title, seniority, department, employment history
  • -Real-time updates when contacts change jobs or companies grow

3Automated Account Tiering

  • -Tier 1 (High Intent): Personalized outbound, immediate rep attention
  • -Tier 2 (Warm): Lighter sales engagement, nurture sequences
  • -Tier 3 (Monitoring): Marketing handles, sales alerted on signal spikes
  • -Tier 4 (Disqualified): Auto-archived, no rep time wasted

4Workflow Library

  • -8+ automated workflows covering different signal types and triggers
  • -Each workflow: detect signal, enrich data, qualify against ICP, route to rep
  • -Custom context cards showing why each account surfaced and what triggered it
